The Thousand Armed Kanoon's temple
| It contains an army of statues in his likeness
Sanjūsangen-dō is a buddhist temple with a long main hall whose main deity is referred to as "The Thousand Armed Kanoon". What makes the dedication of this temple so special is the one thousand gold plated, cypress statues of his likeness. They stand in rows and columns to the left and right of the main statue. Heads up: No pictures are allowed while you are walking through the temple.
