In the heart of Ginza, located adjacent to Jiro's famous sushi den, is a place specializing in grilled eel. Nodaiwa was offering freshwater eel the day I visited so I had to go for it. The eel's flesh was what I expected but the taste was new. You could taste the freshwater it swam in - like tasting the sea in an oyster.
