Isuien Garden has roots dating back to the 17th century. I walked the grounds of what dated back to the 19th century. It was formerly two adjacent gardens that were joined in the 1930s. It is a beautiful stroll complete with pagoda, central pond with two islands and stone paths through moss and streams. It was Winter when I came so it was not at its most lush but still a beautiful way to spend the morning.
