Hindu worshippers came in droves to the 1500-year old Pashupatinath Temple to worship the Lord Shiva and gain good karma on Shivaratri. A walk through the festivities and temple grounds I found praying Sadhus, thousands and thousands of pilgrims, cremations on the river ghats and marijuana in both smoke and edible form. An intense but transformative experience.
