Cemeteries are one of my favorite places to visit when traveling through new cities. A cemetery gives a great window into a culture and a people. It gives incites into religion, spirituality, architecture and can provide a peaceful place to turn to from the bustle. I have never seen a cemetery quite like this one with it’s stacks and tunnels of resting spots. It is a great place to come and pay respects to great figures of Chile’s past. Among these great figures…my grandfather – Hugo Enrique Mattig. Rest in peace Grandpa.
