The American Visionary Art Museum is one of the better museums I have been to in a while. It's better because it bucks the establishment and focuses on lesser known, self taught artists doing their own outsider thing. Celebrated artists include Devon Smith, Leonard Knight, John Waters and Divine to name just a few.
