Three Spots for Delicious Mexican Bites

When I went to Los Angeles I made sure to mine for some taqueria gems.

Coppelia is one of my local staples for amazing Cuban/Latin fare. Their soup of the day rotates and is always good. I order it blindly.

If I need a hearty meal of just have a jones for Cuban food I head to La Carreta.

The exceptional quality of food in Lima kept surprising me. And Pescados Capitales was my favorite meal of the trip.

La Lucha came highly recommended but I didn't think it would be as good as it was.

Top five for airport meals.

The food at The Treehouse is delicious. I chose three dishes: a soup and two ceviches.

I was spurred on to try the coca leaf and the candies after reading how they fend off altitude sickness. I was also very curious.

Right off the beaten path, Bar España cranks out delicious tapas and cold beer.

Pupusas are a Salvadoran treat that I made sure to douse in plenty of house salsa and slaw available table side.

On a layover at Dallas Airport I was starving and took the opportunity to give in to my appetite for Mexican food.

Tacos pastor at Tacontento in the Zona Rosa are yummy and so are the chorizo burritos.

The highlight here was the mole and the verde sauce that smothered the enchiladas.

Found this delicious squash blossom quesadilla on a blue corn tortilla on a trek to Mercado Merced in Mexico City.

I am a Cali transplant. That makes good tacos hard to find in NYC. Los Tacos always satisfies: pork taco on a corn tortilla.
